MERA IP Centrex has been specifically designed to allow service providers to offer highly remunerative IP Centrex services to their customers. MERA IP Centrex is a full-fledged switching system which delivers PBX functionality as a service, available over the existing IP networks.

The network based on MERA IP Centrex (Hosted IP PBX) allows two possible architecture types:

• The switching equipment is deployed at the Service provider’s side
• Part of the switching equipment is deployed at the customer premises to minimize internet traffic expenses

Web-interface control

MERA IP Centrex is easy to set up via an intuitive user-friendly web interface, which enables controlling basic settings of the system, configuring call forward and routing rules, setting an e-mail address for voice messages and adding new users to the system.
Apart from administrator interface, MERA IP Centrex provides a user interface to enable service providers partially assign administration rights to the client's personnel.

MERA IP Centrex is a flexible hosted solution ideal for small and medium-sized VoIP providers. MERA IP Centrex allows carriers to implement a variety of deployment scenarios:

• Hosted IP PBX for enterprises – VoIP service providers rent out the solution capability to enterprises seeking to cost-effectively interconnect their numerous offices with minimal PBX maintenance and management expenditures

Redundancy:

MERA IP Centrex allows a redundancy scheme which provides for increased dependability and fault-tolerant operation. The main and backup servers share one public IP address. Failover-failback is insured by scripts that get up the shared IP address and enable the backup server to take over. The redundancy scheme of IP Centrex allows operators to set up database replication: to create an exact copy of the database from the main server on to the backup server, protecting the system from hardware failures.
